Grants & Funding
As of April 2025, Scottish homeowners can benefit from substantial financial support to install air source heat pumps, making the transition to energy-efficient heating more affordable than ever. The Home Energy Scotland Grant and Loan Scheme offers a grant of up to £7,500 for heat pump installations, with an additional £1,500 available for properties in rural areas, increasing the total grant to £9,000. In addition, homeowners can apply for an interest-free loan of up to £7,500 to cover the remaining costs, potentially securing up to £16,500 in funding. This initiative is part of Scotland’s commitment to reducing carbon emissions and supporting households in adopting sustainable energy solutions. To qualify, applicants must own and occupy their home, and the property must have a valid Energy Performance Certificate.
